| Race Guide Here you can find a list of all the races playable here at Endless Darkness, and what each one offers you. This will also give you an idea of where would be a good place to start for your race, and would tell you where you may or may not be accepted. RacesHumanHumans are the second most frequent race in all of Crenala. They are extremely versatile and can use all manner of tools. They are very knowledgeable creatures and can perform a wide variety of tasks. Positives: Humans can buy/sell things at 90/110% of base item cost. (IE: An item costs 100, you can buy it for 90 or sell it for 110.) Negatives: Humans are virtually blind at night or in darkness and thus can not fight as well in these circumstances and thus tend to stay indoors. Available Subtypes: Warrior; Thief; MageStat Bonus: Nil Undead
Undead are the most frequent race in all of Crenala. They usually stink of rotting flesh, and tend to be avoided by most other beings on the planet. Positives: Your Stench stops most creatures from moving into melee range of you, they tend to try to avoid getting too close to you. Negatives: You have a bad habit of falling apart (or going corporeal for the wight) which will cause you to occasionally be at a disadvantage. Available Subtypes: Ghoul; Zombie; Wight Stat Bonus: Str: - 1, Con: -1, Int: +2, Wis: +1, Cha: -1
Lycanthrope
Lycanthrope are humans who have been infected by the original Lycanthrope and his underlings. They transform every night for their disease is much more harsh than the common lycanthropy. Positives: You can transform into a powerful combatant and use amazing abilities while in that form. Negatives: You can only transform at night, thus leaving you as defenseless as a human during the day time. Available Subtypes: Werebear, Werewolf, Wereowl Stat Bonus: Str: +2, Dex: +1, Con: +1, Int: -2, Wis: -1, Cha: -1
Fae
Fae are all manner of woodland folk. They are the most abundant in woody areas. Fae can appear to be invisible to all manner of creatures, unless they wish to be seen. Positives: You can be invisible to all manner of creatures with the exception of Fae, Beasts, Angels, Demons, and Devils. You can choose when this invisibility is active. Negatives: If you attack or perform any malicious act, you immediately become visible to all creatures in the surrounding area, until you are no longer considered a hostile. If being chased, once you reach a good distance (about 50 feet/17 meters) you will become invisible once again. Available Subtypes: Treant; Pixie; Elf Stat Bonus: Str: -1, Dex: +1, Con: -1, Wis: +1, Cha: +1
Beast
Beasts are all manner of "mythological" creatures. They are similar to fae in the fact that they live in wooded areas, but they are much less accepted than fae. Positives: Your beast nature makes you much stronger than most other races and usually much larger. Negatives: Being a beast means your size will not allow you into most buildings that are not large, and you are usually attacked on site by humans, undead, and lycanthropes, unless you somehow prove yourself to the community. Available Subtypes: Minotaur; Gremlin; Elemental Stat Bonus: Str: +3, Dex: -2, Con: +1, Int: -2
Giant
Giants are all manner of "Giant" creatures. Your huge size makes it difficult to be accepted, however, the fae and beasts accept you in their homelands. Positives: Your large size makes it much easier too see long distances. You can see much further than other races. Negatives: Your large size also makes it much more difficult to hide while in open areas. It also makes it difficult to associate with other races and to be able to fit into their buildings. Available Subtypes: Troll; Cyclops; Ogre Stat Bonus: Str: +4, Dex: -4, Con: +2, Int: -2, Cha: -1
Angel
Angels are the saviors of the world. They live on the plane of Law, and can only only travel to the planes of neutrality and chaos, unless the common planes are in danger. They are very rarely spotted on the common planes, and if they do travel, they are invisible to the eyes of the common planes creatures. Positives: Angels are good creatures and thus their attacks are imbued with Good powers. It makes their attacks much stronger against anyone of an Evil nature. Negatives: Being good creatures, they can not survive long on any chaotic or evil plane for very long. Available Subtypes: Paladin; Justicar; Cleric Stat Bonus: Int: +2, Wis: +5, Cha: +2
Demon
Demons are the destroyers of the world. They live on the plane of Chaos and can only travel to the planes of Neutrality and law, unless the common planes are too over populated with good. They are very rarely spotted on the common planes, and if they do travel, they appear as massive evil beasts in the eyes of the common planes creatures. Positives: Demons are evil in nature and thus their attacks are imbued with evil powers. It makes their attacks stronger against anyone of a good nature. Negatives: Being evil creatures, they can not survive long on any lawful or good plane for very long. Available Subtypes: Lord; Rogue; Abyss Stat Bonus: Str: +5, Con: +3
Devil
Devils are the neutral party in the war over the world between the angels and demons. They live on the plane of Neutrality and can only travel to the plans of law and chaos, unless the war on the common planes is out of hand. They are never spotted on the common planes, and if they do appear there, they appear as a cross-breed of angels and demons. Positives: Being Neutral, they do equal damage to both good and evil. They also receive equal damage from good and evil. Negatives: being neutral, they must always avoid conflict unless things are getting out of hand, in which case, they would attempt to defend the losing party. Available Subtypes: Fighter; Watcher; Noble Stat Bonus: Dex: +3, Cha: +3
